Originally from Uruguaiana, in Rio Grande do Sul, Alec Araujo has built a career spanning more than three decades dedicated to Electronic Music.
Since the beginning of his career in 1990, his Latin and Spanish roots have shaped an authentic style, defined by intense and engaging sets capable of keeping dance floors vibrating for hours on end.
With an entrepreneurial vision, he moved to Porto Alegre and quickly established himself on the main dance floors, clubs, festivals, and raves across the southern region of the country. His charisma and consistency took him beyond Brazil’s borders. Alec began performing at clubs and events throughout South America, sharing line-ups with major names in national and international electronic music, including Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, Sharam, DJ Marky, Anderson Noise, Zac, Mau Mau, D-nox, Marco Carola, Renato Ratier, and Gui Boratto.
Immersing himself completely in music production as a self-taught artist, he began developing his own tracks, remixes, and exclusive versions of 1980s classics, imprinting them with his unique and refined identity. His productions crossed borders, being played by internationally renowned DJs and on some of the most respected Progressive House dance floors around the world.
Mentioned by Wolfgang Flür, a founding member of Kraftwerk, in his book “I Was a Robot”, Alec received support for his remixes of Kraftwerk’s “Neon Lights”, “Autoban”, and “Vitamin” from major artists in the global electronic music scene, as well as from Wolfgang Flür himself, who stated:
“I love your remix of Neon Lights.”

Throughout his 30-year career, with more than two decades dedicated to Progressive House, he has established himself as one of the most prominent names in the South American scene, with his tracks featured in the sets of major artists, including Hernan Cattaneo, who has been presenting Alec’s new remixes during performances across the European summer and at major events such as Sunsetstrip, held in São Paulo in 2025.

Desde o início de sua carreira, em 1990, suas raizes latinas e espanholas moldaram um estilo autêntico, marcado por sets intensos e envolventes, capazes de manter as pistas vibrando por horas a fio. Com visão empreendedora, mudou-se para Porto Alegre e rapidamente conquistou espaço nas principais pistas, clubs, festivais e raves do sul do país. Suas produções ultrapassaram fronteiras, sendo tocadas por DJs de renome internacional e nas pistas mais respeitadas do Progressive House global.
